About Me!

I believe that when you peal back all the layers, there are really just a few principles that drive the nature of what it means to be human. I'm a philosophical minimalist, which draws me to what is at the core that leads to everything else. I believe the biggest thing holding us back is layer upon layer of self-contradiction that makes the world seem worse than it has to be, and that progress is impossible without untangling our own self-contradictions. This may be the core of spirituality. Good luck facing God or ascending to where ever while you still live in contradiction with yourself. Much of what we aspire to, we push away. Some part of LearnGrowRepeat is about learning how not to do that.

My professional life

I'm self-employed and have been for decades. In my professional life I help large companies win critical business proposals worth 6-9 figures. I do a lot of public speaking and training related to this. If you know me in my personal life, I'll probably never bring up my professional life. It's so niche. But maybe I should since it's given me a lot of the skills needed to launch LearnGrowRepeat and the ability to express the meager insights I have to offer. Lately, even in my professional life I find myself teaching things like the importance of growth for development of all things, how looking at expectations through a new lens is the secret to collaborating as team, how all communication is really translation, and how billion dollar proposals are really just talking about what matters.
